Friends of Chelsea
Chelsea Hospital is a community trust hospital. As such it aims to give back to the community wherever it can. It is exceptionally fortunate to have the fundraising efforts of the Friends of Chelsea who work tirelessly to raise money to support the hospital's wider community objectives.
A number of specific fundraising activities are carried out each year and money from these together with membership subscriptions and donations go towards funding a variety of projects such as provision of free inpatient nursing care for terminally ill/elderly patients, specialised equipment and hospital refurbishments.
New members and donations are always welcome.
Membership Fees
Life Membership is NZ$100 per person.
Annual Membership is NZ$20 per year.
As it is a registered trust, any subscription/donations are eligible for tax relief via the IRD.
